With the "glass lamp" technique it is possible to create many glass objects: ornaments with the most unusual shapes but also glasses, vases, goblets. The glass is melted through the flame of a torch giving life to objects, sculptures up to the precious Venetian glass beads. What made original Murano glass famous as artistic glass is its softness: it melts at low temperatures compared to other types of glass such as barosilicate, and cools more slowly, leaving time for the glass masters to shape it into beautiful and unusual shapes.
