For decades, the Murano artisan company Carlo Donà has been making quality tools for working with artistic glass, both classic and on demand. In reality, Beniamino Donà, father of Carlo and Angelo, was already an artisan in the 1800s. The two brothers started a business together, calling it Fratelli Donà, but soon after decided to take two separate roads and in 1923 Carlo Donà was established, which became an important business on the island, collaborating with the most important factories of the time. With careful research on the evolution of glass production, Carlo, grandfather of the current owner, initiated his son Carletto into the same profession. Roberto returned to his grandfather Carlo's footsteps, developing the experience acquired by the company in the realization of a whole series of tools for glass working and making them ever closer to the needs and new working techniques of the masters and artists scattered all over the world. In addition to the tools for lampwork glass and the furnace, we also make canes, props and various types of molds: all products made entirely by hand in full respect of the tradition of Murano glass.
