Panizzi Murano

Glass casting, grinding, beating, engraving

"While continuing to use traditional work methods, we love to combine the milling and beating, fusing and sandblasting techniques in a perfect symbiosis of ancient taste and modern design. "

The Panizzi Eugenio mill was founded in Murano in 1960 and established itself as a company specializing in the artistic grinding and engraving of Bohemia-type glass and crystal, on goblets, carafes, bottles, plates, tableware in general, and lighting products. The founder, Eugenio, began his working experiences at the age of 11, in a mill in the Como area, where he was born in 1922, learning the grinding technique, one that allows you to "dig" the glass through several steps. In the early fifties, Eugenio joined his brother-in-law Marco Varisco in Murano, who was also a master grinder, taking over the business ten years later. In the seventies, his son Mauro started working in the mill, as did later his son, Franco: the two brothers introduced new projects, integrated and modified some production lines, and adapted the products to an increasingly demanding and aware clientele. Today the third generation is Jacopo, Franco's son, and the company has begun to distinguish itself not only for grinding but also for other techniques such as beating, engraving and glass fusion, also opening a showroom next to the workshop where the most attractive and original production lines are presented.
