The company "Mario Berta Battiloro" was founded in 1969 with the desire to continue the ancient family trade started by Mario Berta in 1926 and today handed down by Marino Menegazzo, master goldsmith, together with his wife Sabrina Berta, heir of the owner and his two daughters Eleonora and Sara, each of them cutters. In the historic workshop, where you can book a guided tour by appointment, 24-carat gold, silver and other metals are transformed into very thin leaves of various thicknesses, sizes and colors. All products designed for a public of professional users such as mosaicists, glassmakers, "pearlists", restorers, gilders, iconographers, calligraphers, painters, sculptors and some lovers of decoupage. Their use, with different application techniques, allows the embellishment of the work of art on which they are used, communicating to the observer a touch of incomparable personality. Alongside its traditional production, the company now also offers beautiful ready-to-use kits for innovative applications in the food sector (for the decoration of gourmet foods) or cosmetics (for facial make-up and nail decoration). In this way, Marino and Sabrina Berta's daughters face competitive challenges and internationalization by delicately handling these very thin leaves of precious metal.
