Il grifone is a true artisan leather goods shop in the heart of Venice (in fondamenta del Gaffaro) where tradition, passion and quality meet. Antonio "Toni" Peressin, a leather craftsman, has been creating bags, backpacks, wallets, purses, belts, eyeglass cases and many other objects of various uses and sizes for almost forty years, with an essential and harmonious style, durable over time, using natural and colored leather. For his pieces he uses material from the Tuscan Tanning District and therefore from tanneries that work the leather traditionally and exclusively with vegetable extracts, with a certain preference for that beautiful light-colored leather with which he creates his famous briefcases: perfect, well-kept, indestructible. Toni is known by everyone in the area, from the gondoliers who bring tourists to his shop windows in gondolas, to the old ladies who know they can turn to him to repair a strap or a buckle on an old bag. A few years ago, his son Filippo joined the business, representing the second generation, and will continue the story of "Il Grifone", the mythical winged animal chosen as the logo of the business, also to recall the Venetian nature of the product as it is a winged lion just like the typical iconography of the city of Venice.
