Marco's journey began at the Art Institute of Venice, where he honed his craft and perfected techniques such as fusion, lampworking, and the intricate Tiffany method, named after Louis Comfort Tiffany. His dedication to the art of glassmaking earned him the title of Master of Art in 1991, and since 2002, he has shared his expertise as an instructor at the esteemed and unique Abate Zanetti International School of Glass in Murano.

The Tiffany method revolutionized stained glass window production by introducing a technique that used copper foil instead of traditional lead came. This innovation allowed for more intricate and delicate designs, as the copper foil could be wrapped around the edges of each piece of glass, then soldered together. This method not only increased the durability of stained glass creations but also allowed for greater artistic expression with finer details and more vivid colors.
